The honorable guests Mr. Brahima Sanou, Director of ITU Telecommunication Development Bureau /BDT/ and Mr. Ioane Koroivuki, Regional Director of ITU Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific paid courtesy visit to CITA.
Mr. Chinbat Baatarjav, Chairman of CITA warmly received the guests and briefly introduced about current situation of ICT Development of Mongolia and key activities implementing by CITA. On 2017, CITA is more focusing on the improvement of legal environment of the sector, accordingly working on the Amendments of the Communications Law and Radiocommunication Law as well. Recently, “Concepts of Government Policy on ICT Development up to 2025” has been approved by the Government of Mongolia.
Furthermore, they have discussion on further cooperation between two organizations and challenges of landlocked countries, particularly on necessities of ICT human capacity building, promotion of public digital literacy and improvement of information access by people with disabilities.
Mr. Sanou mentioned that in this digital era, besides of telecommunication sector, information technology plays vital role and recommended CITA to pay high attention on e-services such as e-education, e-health, e-agriculture etc.
