The 3rd meeting between the Administrations of People’s Republic of China and Mongolia on Radio Frequency Coordination in the border areas was held in Beijing, China from 9-11 October, 2019.
The meeting was attended by Mongolian representatives from the Communications and Information Technology Authority, Communications Regulatory Commission, Embassy of Mongolia to China and mobile operator companies- Mobicom and Unitel; and on behalf of China- Bureau of Radio Regulation of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, State Radio Monitoring Center, National Research Institute of Radio Spectrum Management Radio Regulation Office of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, Gansu Province and three mobile operators.
The parties introduced spectrum regulatory framework and frequency allotment for 2G, 3G and 4G systems and exchanged their views on efficient coordination of IMT systems. Furthermore, they intrudced about radio monitoring and cross-border signals detected on their territory and discussed how to enhance bilateral frequency coordination to eliminate harmful interference in the border areas in the future. Both sides agreed to support each other in relevant ITU meetings for the WRC-19 Agenda Items, when they have similar positions.
At the end, the parties signed the Agreement between the Telecommunication Administrations of People’s Republic of China and Mongolia on the use of the frequency band, which emphasized as that our cooperation and common understanding reached to a new level. Thus, Mongolia is the second country that signed radio frequency coordination agreement with China.
