Within the framework of the Mongolian Government’s E-Government policy Communications and Information, Technology Authority has implemented that E-Mongolia project. E-Mongolia aims to gradually digitalize all government services to be delivered to citizens by a one-stop, centralized system.
Ms. Bolor- Erdene.B (chairperson of the Communications and Information Technology Authority), Mr. Tengis.S (advisor to the chairperson), Mr. Bilegdemberel.B(head of CITA’s Information Technology Policy and Coordination), and Mr. Enkhbat. L (head of system integration department) met with the officials of the General Department of Taxation to discuss the plans to add tax-related services to E-Mongolia.
The General Department of Taxation presented the current electronic system of the tax administration. Additionally, the two teams discussed how E-Mongolia is another way for citizens to receive public services. Currently E-Mongolia has 34 tax services incorporated in its system.
Both parties agreed to work together in the future to create opportunities for citizens to access information from the government, exchange information between government agencies, make citizens’ access to public services more easy and simple, and have a uniform policy to maintain information security.
