ITU Digital World 2020, welcoming high level influential participants from public and private sectors of ICT industry onto virtual platform, was held from 20-22 October, 2020.

One of the main events of ITU Digital World 2020 was the Ministerial Roundtable discussion under the theme of “The role of digital technologies during and after COVID-19 pandemic”, co-organized by ITU and the Government of Vietnam. During the discussion, Ms. Bolor-Erdene, Chairwoman of CITA, introduced the pandemic situation in Mongolia and actions taken by the Government, as well as ICT sector organizations towards ensuring economic sustainability. “COVID-19 has generated a huge demand for more ICT services and more advanced technologies such as 5G, artificial intelligence, and cloud computing – but it has also revealed deep digital inequalities between those who are connected and those who are not,” said ITU Secretary-General Houlin Zhao during his opening video message. “We need a new strategy based on smart and innovative policies that can attract more investments in ICT infrastructure, and we need a new way of working together”.

Despites of Ministerial Roundtable, a number of forums and virtual exhibitions are being organized as part of the ITU Digital World 2020. Please see following link to visit the event.
