In the age of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and the Digital Transition, technology and coding are among the must-have skills. To this extent, the gender gap in the information technology sector is likely to widen.
Since gender inequality is balanced day by day and women’s influence in technology is growing, the program for training 30 girls annually is announced to reduce gender inequality in the industry, create female software engineers, and empower girls and women in rural areas.
The program was initiated by Ms. B.Bolor-Erdene, Chairwoman of Communications and Information Technology Authority and registration has started on May 1, 2021.
The following requirements apply to girls wishing to participate in the program. These include:
- Be a high school student
- Lives in remote districts, khoroos, aimags and soums and does not have regular access to online training
- Willing to spend two months of your summer vacation in coding training.
Registration deadline: by 2021.05.14
Contact person: Ms. E.Urantsetseg (94999598)
The training is scheduled to begin on June 14 and as a result of the program, the girls will write their own programs and present them to the public.
