E-Mongolia 2.0 will be launched in October.B.Bolor-Erdene, Chairwoman of the Communications and Information Technology Authority, provided the following information during the presentation of the decisions made at the Cabinet meeting. /18 August, 2021/
She said, “ICT Expo is held every year. This year, 100 companies of ICT Industry will jointly organize ICT EXPO at the Amusement Park without spending any money from the state budget. Quarantine and epidemic conditions will also be taken into account. In order to become a Digital Nation, everyone from herders to large companies must become digital. Young generation in the ICT Industry already introduced brand-new technologies that are used around the world. We will show it to our citizens. Also, Risk systems and 5G networks will be tested at ICT Expo.
The Prime Minister has instructed to launch the next version of E-Mongolia within the 200th day of the Government. This task is based on artificial intelligence and offers services to the citizen. As of today, E-Mongolia has 539 services. Researchers estimate that E-Mongolia has saved 27 billion MNT since its launch. Especially during the pandemic, E-Mongolia users has been increased due to the vaccination certificates and references.
E-Mongolia 2.0 will be released with five new features.
First, the inclusion of all the documents that the citizen has, such as their ID card and driver’s license. Failure to obtain a driver’s license is punishable by a fine for driving without a driver’s license. This situation will be resolved in an updated version. When applying for a visa, all passport information is needed. Including all of this will reduce the need for a reference. There is a confirmation mark with Soyombo on the ID card. We will enter it in the hologram.
Second, E-Mongolia will offer the services that the citizen needs. In particular, health, education, and social security services will be given priority.
Third, it will be easier and more understandable for users. The 11-11 center serves 800-1000 people a day, and 1200-1500 people use chatbots. Therefore, it will be adjusted to make it easier for users. Because E-Mongolia itself provides legal services, it is important to identify the person accurately. So we’re going to include face and fingerprint recognition functions.
Fourth, new services for the entities and citizens. Based on feedback from citizens, we will add 30 services for the entities and more than 20 services for citizens that can be served without leaving home. It is also decided that a citizen registered in a rural area must go to the countryside to bring his / her documents and exchange them in order to receive migration services.
Fifth, in order to reduce the corruption index, the most corrupted services will be digitalized.
It is also planned to re-construct E-Mongolia for 200-300 million MNT.”
